Tis the season to be jolly!... and to get your item specifics updated in time for eBay’s upcoming mandate. Not long after the Christmas rush and January sales, February will see eBay’s first mandate of 2023.
What’s changing?
New item specifics in the below categories will be required on 22 February 2023 for all new and revised listings:
- Collectables (Figurines)
- Parts & Accessories (Motorcycle, Scooter and UTV/ATV P&A)
- Health & Beauty (Beauty & Skincare, Food & Drinks, Oils & Supplements)
- Home, Furniture & DIY (Candles & Home Fragrance, Home Décor, Cushions, Curtains, Blinds & Accessories)

Collectables (Figurines)
Are you a bobblehead enthusiast? Or just sell them? You’ll want to pay close attention to this vertical’s changes. Here are a few examples of affected categories in the Collectables (Figurines) vertical for the UK:

Updates to Parts & Accessories is a big one for this eBay mandate with over 4200 updates. This may seem like a daunting task, but we’ve got you covered.
The Aspect Finder+ tool will retrieve missing item specifics for you to save you time when updating your listings. You can also use the Bulk Updates feature to update as many of your listings in a single upload so you don’t waste time going through your listings one by one. Another tool to use is the Parts Compatibility Finder. This tool enables the completion of vehicle parts compatibility data, for both cars and motorcycles.
