What is the GS1 GTIN Report?

The GS1 GTIN Report audits the product identifiers (UPCs & GTINs) used on your listings and returns an integrity score that can suggest if any actions are required. The GS1 integrity scores are generated by GS1 to indicate how good a match the GTIN used is to the recorded GTINs on their database. Scores of 0.0 and 0.1 indicate that a GTIN is invalid.

What are Product Identifiers?

Product identifiers, known as Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), are unique codes used to identify specific products. found with the barcode on a product’s original packaging:

  • Manufacturer Part Number (MPN)
  • European Article Number (EAN)
  • Universal Product Code (UPC)
  • International Standard Book Number (ISBN)

Most new and manufacturer-refurbished branded items have product identifiers such as brand and codes on their original packaging.
